Narayan Bali Puja — Kashi
The sacred remedy for Pitru Dosh, unnatural deaths and ancestral curses, performed on the Ganga ghats
Liberation for Unfulfilled Ancestral Souls
The Narayan Bali Puja is a special Vedic ritual performed to grant peace and liberation (moksha) to the souls of ancestors who passed away due to unnatural or untimely causes — accidents, suicide, drowning, fire, or sudden illness — and whose last rites may have been incomplete. Such restless souls are believed to cause Pitru Dosh, bringing obstacles in marriage, childbirth, health, and prosperity to the living family.
The ritual is usually performed together with Nagbali, which removes the sin (dosh) of having harmed a serpent (Naag) — a common cause of childlessness and family curses. Performed by experienced pandits at the sacred ghats of Kashi using the prescribed three-day vidhi, the puja releases the ancestors from the cycle of suffering and lifts the dosh from the family lineage.
